The first step in automating your call tasks is to create Call Scripts. It's best to have Call Scripts designed before creating a Smartpath with call tasks. Once you have call tasks in a Smartpath, these tasks are automatically generated so that you do not have to manually enter calls as tasks. Call scripts can help with onboarding new Sales Reps.
You can make your call scripts as involved or as simple as you'd like. Simplify your scripts by adding quick bullet points.
In the Sales Campaigns tab in the left sidebar, click on Call Scripts.
Just like email templates, call scripts must live inside of a folder. You can create a new call script folder by clicking on the New button with the folder icon.
In the Create New Folder window type in the name of your folder, and choose whether to locate it at the top level, or nest it inside of an existing folder. Click the Save Folder button to finish creating the call script folder.
Now you can create a new call script. Click on the New button with the small phone icon on it.
Enter a title, a description, and choose a folder for your call script. The title and description are only visible to you and your colleagues who use LiveHive. If you know you're going to use a call script often, you can click on Favorite to see it in the favorites folder. This makes it easier to find when you're selecting from a long list of call scripts.
Under Talk Track, write the content for your call script. Again, this could be simple bullet points. LiveHive allows you to use merge fields within your call scripts, increasing personalization. Click the Insert Merge Field drop-down menu and select a field while you draft your content.
When your call task is generated for a contact, it will fill in the contact's information for you. In this example, if a call task is for the contact John Hancock, then the call script will begin with "Hello John".
You may also write a voicemail script to use if you reach voicemail. In the example below, there are merge fields for the sales rep making the call. Let's say Bob Smith, a sales rep at LiveHive, is calling John Hancock.
The example below would display "John, This is Bob Smith from LiveHive. I wanted to speak with you about our products and how we can help your company grow. Please feel free to call me at (408) 453-6000, or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you." Note: In order for the merge fields for the sales rep to work, you must fill out your LiveHive profile. This is where it pulls your information from.
Before you save your script, there are two final options.
Apply Change to All Existing Tasks: If you have used this template in multiple campaigns (SmartPaths) and you make a change to the template, checking this box ensures the template will be updated in every campaign that it exists in.
Lock This Template: Only the admin and owner (creator) of the template can edit the template. Users have the option to clone templates which makes a copy and does not affect the original version.
Click the Save Script button when you're ready to save the call script.
