You can quickly add Companies to LiveHive by uploading a CSV file.
First, navigate to People in the left sidebar and select Companies.
To upload a CSV file, click the green Import button, then click Upload CSV.
In the popup window navigate to the CSV file on your computer. Select the file you want to upload, then click Open.
After selecting the file, you must map the proper fields. An Upload CSV File window will appear, and you'll see two columns: one for Company Fields in LiveHive, and one for Your CSV File. Under the Your CSV File column, you need to select the proper header from your CSV file in each drop-down menu. If there is information you don't have, leave the drop-down menu on "Select Mapping" and that field will be blank.
For example, the company name in my CSV file has the header "Company Name", so I need to select that from the drop-down menu in the first row.
Continue choosing the correct headers for each field that you want information for. In this example, there are now phone or fax numbers in the CSV, so these will be left alone.
Scroll down in this window to see the rest of the fields.
Double check that all of the mapping is correct. This is important! When you're all done, click the Save Upload button. The companies listed in your CSV file will now show up in your Companies in LiveHive.
