There are two ways to stop a SmartPath for a specific contact: in Contacts/Groups or Tasks.
Stop a SmartPath for a Contact in Contacts or Groups
Navigate to the contact you want to stop the SmartPath for. You can find them in Contacts or Groups (if they're in a group). Search for their name to save some time.
For example, I want to stop a SmartPath for a contact named John Hancock. I go to contacts, then search for John.
I can visually tell that John is currently in a SmartPath because the SmartPath icon to the left of the first name is dark.
Once you've found the contact, click on their name. More information about the contact will populate on the right side, including the name of the SmartPath they're in. In the example below, I clicked on John.
To stop the SmartPath, click the stop icon next to SmartPath:
A moment after you click to stop, a pop-up window will appear telling you that the SmartPath is stopped. Click ok to close the window.
Stop a SmartPath for a Contact from Tasks
If you click on a task, a preview of the task populates on the right side. Underneath the preview, there is a SmartPath section that displays information about the SmartPath that generated the task, if applicable.
For example, I call John Hancock, and he is very interested in my product and is ready to schedule a demo. This is great news, and he doesn't need to receive the other tasks set up in the SmartPath that he's a part of. All I have to do is click on the stop icon next to SmartPath in the SmartPath section.
A Stop SmartPath window will appear. Click the checkbox to confirm, then click the Stop SmartPath button to complete stopping the SmartPath.
That contact will now no longer receive future tasks from the SmartPath.
