Navigate to the upper left corner and click on the LiveHive drop down menu under your name. Click on Attachments.
Prompt Sender to Capture When Sending Attachments: this enables a dialogue box to appear in your email when you are sending a tracked attachment through your email client, such as Gmail.
If you select “Yes”, then if the recipient chooses to share your attachment with other people, those new recipients will be prompted to enter their email address before viewing the attachment. This is the only way you will be able to see who else viewed your attachment besides the original recipient. Nothing is tracked if the recipient simply forwards your email. The recipient must email the attachment to other people through the attachment viewer. See below for an example. If you select “No”, then no one will be asked for their email address before viewing an attachment.
You may choose to have this box pop-up every time you attach a file or you can choose “Yes” or “No” and check the box “Remember Choice for All Attachments” to not see this box again.
Prompt Recipient to Enter Email Address when Viewing Attachments: this setting will refer to emails sent with your email client, or emails you send through LiveHive. If this is on, when a recipient chooses to share your attachment with others, those new recipients will be prompted for their email address. This way you'll know who viewed your attachment. The recipient would need to share your attachment within the attachment viewer for this feature to work. Forwarded emails and their attachments cannot be tracked.
Here is an example of an opened attachment. If this viewer wanted to share this attachment with someone else, then they can click on EMAIL in the top right.
They then will put in their email, who they want to send it to, a message, and send. If done using this method, then you will be notified with who your original attachment was shared with, and each of the new recipients will be prompted to enter their email if they view the attachment.
